What do you think? Does food taste better, wine have more flavor, people become more funnier in the city by the Bay? Is everything better in San Francisco?
I was sitting a little bored and tired trying to figure out what to do before bed. Not bored enough to watch a whole movie but enough to maybe watch a episode of Scrubs or something of that nature. Well looking my lonely XBOX 360 next to it is my less used Blu-Ray player. I notice the open box of (500) Days of Summer there, with a empty inside so that means the movie is already in the machine. Video source changed, power on, film rolling or spinning nowadays.
This decision is quite the dilemma as I enjoy this movie a lot and the gut instinct to watch it once again going against my original objective. But my nodding head helped with my decision making process and I click over to the special features. This includes the “Making of…” addition which I choose on viewing. Let me get this out now though that I am not one of those people who watch the add-ons to often but what the hey it’s there right? And it shouldn’t be to long, right?
19:43. That’s how far into the feature I am now as I type this. My ADD really kicking in at about the 8-minute mark, I revisit the idea that I should write a book or screenplay. This is a great plan but having a bazillion ideas in your mind is not congruent with writing logical or enticing sentences. Unfazed by my own negativity I still go to locate the screenplay of the movie. I think in this day and age everything should be available online right? Thankfully something amazing called Google is around as well as IMSDb which helped me be able to take a glance at the screenplay.
This leads me to the point of my blog. The movie was supposed to take place in SAN FRANCISCO! I believe this small change could have made the movie better. The reasoning behind this involves being a Northern California boy and just because I say so. What are your thoughts on this, I really want to know?
And for those that are wondering the “Making of…” portion of the disc is 29:21, check it out.
